JDK to appear at GearFest 2011

With summer quickly approaching, JDK is eager to get the season's trade shows started! We're particularly looking forward to attending this year's Sweetwater GearFest in Fort Wayne, Indiana, which runs from June 24th through the 25th. We'll be there both days exhibiting the full JDK catalog: the R20 mic pre, the R24 EQ, the V14 EQ and the R22 compressor. GearFest 2011's line-up also includes guest appearances by Alan Parsons of the Alan Parsons Project as well as producer, composer and musician, BT. Admittance to this show is FREE so we really hope to see you at our booth!

JDK attending Palm India 2011

Like API, JDK has been hard at work getting our modules to all of our customers in India these past few months. In fact, not only have we been putting together the new rounds of JDK gear, but we've also been planning our very first appearance at an Indian trade show. JDK has reserved a booth at Palm India 2011 where we will be exhibiting all JDK EQs, compressors and mic pres. Mumbai's Palm India 2011 will be held June 2nd through the 4th, which means you still have time to reserve your passes! Remember to stop by booth number C49-50 and say "hey" to all of us at JDK!

Recording Magazine reviews R20, R22 and R24

Be on the lookout for the April issue of Recording Magazine for a new review of the JDK R20, R22, and R24. All three pieces were independently reviewed by Paul Vnuk Jr. In case you're not a subscriber to Recording Magazine, you can view the entire article on its website.

Here are some of the highlights:

The R20 2-Channel Mic Preamp: "Bottom line: this is a 'what you put in is what you get out'-style preamp, and mojo junkies will need to look elsewhere. But with this sound the R20 works well on most everything; it sounded especially nice on vocals, acoustic guitar, drums, percussion and room mic duties."

The R24 2-Channel Equalizer: "...this is a great eq for extreme tweaks of 9 dB and more — it does go beyond 11... You can take the edge off or fatten up vocals with ease, add some smoothing to cymbals, and even boost the testosterone levels of your guitar and bass tracks."

The R22 2-Channel Compressor: "Here we have a bus comp for more subtle kinds of music like folk, or jazz or even for rock mixes where you don't want it so apparent. On the drum bus it's great for giving a nice tight coherence to the mix and engaging THRUST® still lets the low-end pulse through."

DSPdoctor welcomed as JDK dealer

JDK has just named DSPdoctor as its newest product dealer. The Massachusetts-based company carries a wide-selection of professional recording gear, but only a few select brands of analog equipment. We are thrilled to be part of that selection, and we're looking forward to our growing relationship with our new dealer. For more information about DSPdoctor or to place your order for new JDK gear visit DSPdoctor's website at http://dspdoctor.com.

JDK brand receives great reviews, award from Everything Audio Network

The R20 mic pre, R22 channel compressor and R24 equalizer have received fantastic reviews from Everything Audio Network! Further, Everything Audio Network has also given the JDK R-series the site's Stellar Sound Award! In the piece, reviewer Andrew Roberts notes JDK's low prices and high quality manufacturing as well as the brand's fantastic sonic characteristics. Be sure to check out the review in full here.

JDK looking forward to Musikmesse

As we quickly move into March, JDK is eagerly awaiting this year's Musikmesse trade show. We'll be appearing in Hall 5.1 Booth C50 during the Frankfurt, Germany show, which runs April 6th through the 9th. Be sure to stop by our booth and check out the JDK line in person. We're bringing everything, so that means you'll be able to try out the R22 dual channel compressor, the V14 4-band EQ, the R20 2-channel mic pre and the R24 2-channel, 4-band EQ all at the same event! Musikmesse 2010 was a great time for JDK, and we're looking to make the 2011 show even better.

Next run of R22 dual channel compressors started

One of our most popular pieces of gear, the R22 has experienced impressive sales lately. We have just started work on another run of the popular dual channel compressor. This next run of R22s will fill the heightened demand for JDK products across the country as well as overseas. Thanks to all of our hard-working dealers, especially Sweetwater for their continued efforts and support in getting the word about JDK out to the audio world. And, as always, we want to thank all of our wonderful, hard-working customers for choosing JDK equipment.
